I’m typically the kind of diner who side-eyes any place with carpeted floors and a scent that speaks of decades past, I’ll admit it. I’m as bourgeois as they come when it comes to ambiance. So when I got driven to Pete’s Café, I walked in side-eyed, prepared to mentally check out. But that first bite? It checked me instead. Hard. The Migas with bacon were OUTSTANDING. Perfectly scrambled eggs tossed with crunchy tortilla strips, tomatoes, and onions, all elevated by that bold bacon flavor, it was like breakfast had its own mariachi band playing in my mouth. Every bite was warm, comforting, and just the right level of indulgent without being greasy. Then came Pete’s Special two eggs your way (I went scrambled), with hash browns, bacon, and the fluffiest pancakes I didn’t know I needed. The pancakes had that homemade, butter-infused soul food energy, no need for extra syrup or apology. The service was warm, no frills, just folks who know what they're doing and let the food speak for itself. Betsie, was the Bestie... I walked in skeptical and walked out converted. Pete’s Café doesn’t just serve breakfast, it serves up a reminder that sometimes the best things are found off the beaten path, beyond the bougie filters.
Pete’s has always hit the spot. It a small cafe but you can tell the people who work their enjoy their job. Which makes a difference on how well their service is. The food is AMAZING! Those early morning fresh cinnamon rolls are bussin. And their grits!!! Omg the best grits I’ve had. If you like buttery grits order those!!!! The servers are always friendly. I’ve been going here for years!
Some of the best comfort food I've had in years!!! We split a cheeseburger and a platter of tenders and they were incredible!!! Everything was delicious and we can't wait to come back! Abby, our waitress, was ninja great!!!

When we lived nearby, this was our favorite breakfast spot. We got to return today and it hasn’t changed. Still great. Love their homemade hot sauce. But everything we get has been good
What an awesome café. Decided to bypass the usual fast food and get a good lunch for our employees. 20 orders, made perfect, individually named, and the food was delicious. Abby is amazing and took great care of our order along with the kitchen. Couldn't have asked them to do more. Thank you so much!

We stopped by this breakfast café on a Sunday morning expecting long wait times, but the staff managed everything surprisingly well even during the busy rush. The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the coffee stayed fresh the entire meal. I especially appreciated that the portions felt generous without sacrificing quality. The servers kept checking in naturally and made the atmosphere feel welcoming instead of rushed. Compared to larger breakfast chains around town, this café felt much more personal and consistent. It’s the kind of local place that quickly becomes part of your regular weekend routine after just one visit.
Had a late breakfast here today with the sister! Haven’t been in years! Just as good as I remember. Service was great! My sister plate came out a little on the burnt side the first time. She asked them to fix it and they promptly got it back out to her. Still a little on the burnt side. But they definitely tried to make it right!
Best were the grits. My husband loved the white gravy. Everything was tasty, affordable and we will return. It's like a country cafe near the big city. Bonus points for being able to get a ribeye and fixings before 10 am. I wish they would offer liver and onions more often and not just for the Thursday special. They have their own parking lot.
